Josie cooked our first holiday meal today using the convection oven and range top. We had a Porketta that our friend Aaron brought back from Minnesota. It is a pork roast that is butterflied and then filled with all types of Italian seasonings. She also made mashed potato's, stuffing, gravy, broccoli with cheese sauce and cranberry compote. We will have sweet potato pie that she made last night later this evening. She is doing exceptionally well using the convection oven that is new to both of us.

Virginia has a law that you can only stay 90 days in one campground. You can leave for one day and then come back and stay another 90 days. I have been told that this is to keep people from staying in one place with a broken down RV and becoming a squatter. Anyway I had a free week of camping that I earned from my park volunteer work so we have moved to First Landing State Park and will spend Thanksgiving week camped in the dunes only a hundred yards from the Chesapeake Bay. Normally this would be an idea spot but Mother Nature has decided to show her force and last night the temps went into the 20s and the wind was howling from the NNW at 20. Our heater did just fine but the outside water filter on the hose froze up and I had to take off it off the line. It is going to get warmer but that will bring a nor'easter with lots of rain and wind for Tuesday and Wednesday. It took us about an hour and a half to pack up, drive the 12 miles to the State Park and get settled again. For our first move not too bad, considering we spent a half hour searching for a site out of the wind but in the sun.
What I consider the most essential piece of equipment for the RV is being installed today. Josie may beg to differ with me but I have to have Direct HD TV.
The Journey had to go into the shop for the first time today. We are having trouble with our heat pump so took it in early this morning. They found a bad relay and ordered the part and will have to take it back in Monday. Since we live in our RV we cannot just leave it at the shop.
