Once inside Globe Life Field the air-conditioning was nice and the views of the field were great. Two outlandish concession treats were the 24 inch hotdog with all the fixings for $24 and the 5 pound Gummy Bear for $60. The lady behind the counter said they sell a lot of the hotdogs but only one or so of the Gummy Bears a week.
On another day we visited two local collectibles and antique stores to look for Josie's pottery. Unbelievably we found the two final specialty pieces she needed on the same shelf. Now all she needs are more of the common everyday used pieces, like plates and bowls.
The following day we attended the Astros, Arizona baseball game at Minute Maid Stadium. Before the game we had dinner and a few beers at the Truck Yard, an outdoor venue with pickup truck beds for tables and food trucks for dinner. We then took a pedicab to the stadium with the girls sitting on the guy's laps. Our driver said he could take all four of us and he did not fail. He got us to the game in great time.
The weather in Houston was hot and humid so we spent some time each day at the pool in the RV Park. On our last night in town I took in a game at the Astros Triple A team the Sugar Land Skeeters. This was my 260th baseball stadium that I have seen a game.
