One evening we went to a food truck street party and even though the lines were long had a nice dinner of BBQ and for desert cream puffs. We really have not spent much time in the casino but did go over one night and fed the slots, and then saw Bob Saget from Full House who was headlining in the ballroom. Unless you like third grade potty humor, PLEASE DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY NOR TIME IF HE COMES TO A VENUE NEAR YOU! Looking at the people in the casino I believe that I can safely say Reno is a Redneck Las Vegas. I played golf one day at a course with the snowcapped Sierras in the distance and we also went to a Reno Aces AAA baseball game.
Since we are so close to Lake Tahoe we had to drive up for the day and with fresh snow on the mountains it was as beautiful as always. At one overlook we happened upon a fashion shoot with a cold fashion model in a pleasantly (for me) skimpy bathing suit. We then drove to the old gold mining town of Virginia City and had a nice lunch. The large building below is the restored school house from 1868.
From Reno we had planned to go to Napa California, but there is a huge music festival called Bottle Rock there this weekend and all the campgrounds are booked solid. So we are moving to an RV park in the gold rush country to the west of Lake Tahoe for the next six days.
